Regional land policies are generally conditioned by risk exposure.
Awareness of the causes and dynamics of risks can and should steer
economic and town-planning choices to implement land policies
which are able to reduce the vulnerability of the local population,
its buildings and its industry. With this in mind, AMRA brings
together experts in land management – geographers, economists,
lawyers, architects, town planners and sociologists.
Projects are currently well under way to adopt innovative systems
of real-time information not envisaged under present legislation.
In this specific sector the task of the division is not only to
provide support for training and information for users but also
study in what way insurance companies may be involved in the changing
approach to the issues of risk prediction and prevention and their
effects in terms of land management.
